There were over 3,000 people who were declined a firearm purchase due to background checks in the last quarter of the year.
Slightly over 3,200 people were denied a firearm out of the 298,000 background checks conducted.
The total number of declined firearms were down compared to the 4th quarter of 2024.
16 people were arrested after trying to purchase a gun according to police.
