State police are asking people stay safe as they ring in the New Year.
Even though places like bars and restaurants are closed, police are still expecting more people on the roads.
“With COVID-19, things will look a little different this year, I think more people are going to be staying home. But, we do anticipate an uptick more traffic on the road, and that’s why it’s so important to designate a sober driver if your holiday plans involve alcohol. And make that pledge to never drive while impaired or distracted,” Ryan Tarkowski, spokesman for the state police said.
He also added that police will be out in full force with a visible presence.
