A state representative from eastern Pennsylvania has stepped down following multiple accusations of sexual harassment.
Democratic Rep. Mike Zabel submitted his resignation Wednesday, which comes a week after a lobbyist made the initial accusation against him.
Also on Wednesday, Rep. Abby Major of Armstrong County said that Zabel made inappropriate remarks and put his arm around her at a Harrisburg establishment last year.
Zabel was first elected to the House in 2018. A special election to fill his seat will happen in May.
