The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue is continuing the new fiscal year with tax collections totaling over $4 billion last month.
Revenue from sales tax in September totaled $1.2 billion while personal income tax was $1.7 billion for the month.
The Motor License Fund received nearly $300 million for the month from gas and diesel taxes, as well as other license, fine, and fee revenues.
This collection data does not include a comparison against anticipated amounts because the official estimate for the 2025-26 fiscal year has still not been certified since it is part of the state budgeting process.
