Butler County’s unemployment rate continues to remain low according to new data from the Department of Labor.
The numbers show that the unemployment rate currently sits at 3.7 percent in the county. That works out to an estimated 3,600 people who are out of work.
Statewide, the number also continues to fall. The June unemployment numbers were at 3.8 percent—which is the lowest on record since January 1976.
Education and health services have led the way over the past year, adding 49,000 jobs.
