A bill that aims to improve broadband services in rural areas across Pennsylvania has been approved by the state senate.
The bill would establish a grant program that will provide funding to improve access to high-speed internet in underserved areas.
Legislators say that broadband access has become even more crucial during the pandemic, especially for those working from home, senior citizens, and students learning remotely.
The bill now will await the signature of Governor Tom Wolf before becoming law.
