The Pennsylvania Senate is set to return Thursday.
Senate President Kim Ward called senators back to Harrisburg for a session that is set to begin at 1 p.m. During that time, it’s expected that the Senate will pass the more than $45 billion budget deal.
It’s a bill that’s been in limbo over the last couple of weeks, due to Governor Josh Shapiro saying he would line-item veto $100 million set aside for private school scholarships.
County governments say the delay in passing the budget required them to dip into their fund balance to cover costs of some services.
