The state is revising some policies when it comes to long term care facilities.
The new COVID-19 guidance covers new testing policies, and when to ease restrictions.
The new guidelines look at the county’s COVID-19 positivity rate when it comes to determining when to test residents. When it’s less than 5 percent, no testing is deemed necessary, but when greater than five percent, weekly testing is recommended.
The state also says that if community spread is low enough, safe visitation to visit those in long term care facilities should resume.
