Pennsylvania’s unemployment remains unchanged from last month.
According to Department of Labor statistics, August unemployment was at 3.5 percent in the Keystone State.
That continues to tie a record for the lowest unemployment rate on record since January 1976.
In Butler County, the number is significantly lower than the state rate at 2.7 percent.
The Department of Labor estimates the county’s workforce at 98,000, so about 2,600 people in the county are currently unemployed.
