The Washington Football Team defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-17 last night at Heinz Field – handing the Steelers their first loss of the season in their 12th game. The Steelers blew a 14-3 halftime lead and were outscored 20-3 in the second half. Their record drops to 11-1.
Ben Roethlisberger threw the ball 53 times for 305 yards and two scores – both in the first half. He was picked off by former Steelers linebacker Jon Bostic with just under a minute remaining in the game. The Steelers managed just 21 yards on the ground without starting running back James Conner.
Despite the loss – the Steelers tied the record for most consecutive regular-season games with a sack. They are now tied with Tampa Bay’s record of 69, which ended in 2003.
The Steelers have also not allowed a sack for five games in a row, the longest streak in franchise history.
The Steelers lost linebacker Robert Spillane to a knee injury during the game. Defensive back Joe Haden also left with what was believed to be a concussion.
The Steelers visit the Buffalo Bills for a Sunday Night match-up this weekend. Kick-off is 8:20pm.

Allen set a new Bills franchise record with his fourth game of the season with at least 300 yards passing and at least three touchdowns.
Tonight – the Baltimore Ravens host the Dallas Cowboys. The Ravens will see the return of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who had been out of the lineup for the recent game with the Steelers after a positive COVID test. Kick-off is 8:05pm.
