The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed recently released wide receiver Adam Thielen to their practice squad. The 35-year old Thielen had requested a release from the Minnesota Vikings this week after they fell out of the chase for a playoff spot. He had 69 yards on eight catches over 11 games this season, four of those games were starts.
The Steelers have released defensive back Darius Slay and are elevating Asante Samuel, Jr. to their active roster.
The Steelers visit the Baltimore Ravens Sunday at 1pm.
