The Chicago Bears defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-28 Sunday. The Steelers played without starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers who missed the game with a fractured wrist. After throwing an interception on his first pass, back-up Mason Rudolph finished the game with 171 yards and one touchdown. He also lost a fumble.
Bears quarterback Caleb Williams threw for three scores and the Steelers defense only came up with one sack in the game, the TJ Watt sack did force a fumble for a touchdown early in the second quarter that gave the Steelers a 14-7 lead. The Steelers led the game 21-17 at halftime, but their offense was limited to one score the remainder of the game.
The Bears have now won eight of their last nine games and are now 8-3. The Steelers fell into a first-place tie with Baltimore in the AFC North at 6-5, but the Ravens currently hold the tie-breaker, so the loss has dropped the Steelers from a potential playoff spot.
The Steelers host the 7-4 Buffalo Bills this Sunday at 4:25pm.
The Ravens host Cincinnati for this week’s Thursday night game. Baltimore defeated the New York Jets 23-10 yesterday.
