Former Steelers lineman Alan Faneca has announced that former teammate Hines Ward will introduce him at his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction in August. Faneca and Ward were drafted by the Steelers in the class of 1998 and played for the Steelers together for 10 seasons.
The Steelers picked up the fifth-year option on All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick’s rookie contract. He has played 31 games for the Steelers since being acquired in a trade from the Miami Dolphins. Fitzpatrick has been named to the NFL All-Pro team the past two seasons with the Steelers.
The NFL Draft begins tomorrow night in Cleveland with the First Round selections.
