The Pittsburgh Steelers have hired Pat Meyer as their new offensive line coach. He is the fifth offensive line coach in the past five years. Meyer was the O-line coach for the Carolina Panthers the past two seasons. He has also been an assistant with the Chargers, Bills and Bears.
Meyer is also the third new assistant hired in the last week after Frisman Jackson was named the new receivers coach and Teryl Austin was named the new defensive coordinator.
The Super Bowl drew an estimated 101 million viewers Sunday, a 6% increase over the previous season. It continued a good post-season for the NFL. Viewership for the league’s divisional round was up 20% over last year, and the conference championships up 10%.
