The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost offensive line coach Mike Munchak to the Denver Broncos. Munchak takes over the same position with Denver after being a candidate for their head coaching job. He has family in the Denver area.
The Steelers promoted assistant offensive line coach Shaun Sarrett to take Munchak’s place.
The University of Pittsburgh has hired Mark Whipple as their new offensive coordinator. Whipple had been head coach at UMass until resigning after the 2018 season. He is previously a quarterbacks coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray has declared for the NFL Draft. The junior from Oklahoma was also a first-round Major League Baseball draft pick of the Oakland Athletics.
