The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their third game in a row last night when they dropped a 27-17 decision to the Cincinnati Bengals. Three Steelers turnovers in the first half allowed the Bengals to build a 17-0 lead by halftime, and the Steelers never recovered. They are now the first team in NFL history to win their first 11 games, only to lose their next three.
The road doesn’t get any easier. After losing to a then two-win team last night, the Steelers will face two teams battling for division titles over the next two weeks. They host Indianapolis this Sunday, before travelling to Cleveland for their regular-season finale.
The Steelers have now dropped to the #3-seed in the AFC behind Buffalo and Kansas City – and will now have to hold off Cleveland for the AFC North title.
Sunday’s game time is 1pm at an empty Heinz Field.
Five Pittsburgh Steelers have been selected to the Pro Bowl. Outside linebacker T.J. Watt, defensive lineman Cam Heyward, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and center Maurkice Pouncey would start if the game were to be played. Guard David DeCastro was named to the AFC team as well. The Pro Bowl will not be held this year due to the pandemic.
