The Pittsburgh Steelers made their final cuts to reach their 53-man roster Tuesday. Among the cuts were running back Jaylen Samuels, 2021 draft pick Quincy Roche, a linebacker from Miami, tight end Kevin Rader from Pine-Richland, fullback Trey Edmunds, wide receiver Cody White along with offensive lineman Rashaad Coward and B.J. Finney.
The New England Patriots cut quarterback Cam Newton and will go with rookie Mac Jones, who won the college national title with Alabama last season. Newton played one season with New England after Tom Brady left for Tampa Bay.
The Baltimore Ravens cut former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley.
