The NFL Pro Bowl rosters were announced Tuesday. The Pittsburgh Steelers led the way with eight players. Among the players was injured linebacker Ryan Shazier. Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell was the top vote-getter and was named a starter along with Antonio Brown, offensive lineman Maurkice Pouncey, David DeCastro and Alejandro Villanueva and kicker Chris Boswell. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger also made the team.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday at his press conference James Conner is done for the season after knee surgery. Conner was placed on injured reserve. Tomlin also said wide receiver Antonio Brown has a “significant” contusion on his calf, and will miss at least this week.
The Steelers have signed running back Stevan Ridley to replace Conner. The former Patriot was released by Denver following training camp. He was picked up by Minnesota in October after the Vikings lost Dalvin Cook to injury, but Ridley was released four days later.
