Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week by the NFL this week. Ben threw four touchdown passes in the Steelers 36-10 win over Cincinnati last Sunday, despite missing the week of practice leading up to the game due to virus protocol. The Steelers visit Jacksonville Sunday at 1pm – then host the Baltimore Ravens a week from tonight.
In NFL Thursday Night Football tonight – a battle for first place in the NFC West as the Seattle Seahawks will host the Arizona Cardinals. Kick-off is 8:20pm. The Seahawks have lost three of their past four games after beginning the season 5-0. Both teams enter the game 6-3, and are tied with the Los Angeles Rams.
Los Angeles will visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a Monday Night Football match-up.
As the number of coronavirus cases surge around the country, the NFL has decided to put all teams in intensive COVID-19 protocol beginning Saturday. It means masks will now be mandatory at all times at team facilities, including during practice and in weight rooms. Meetings must be held virtually or in the largest indoor space. Meals will have to be available as a take-out style and time in locker rooms must be limited.
