The Pittsburgh Steelers made a three-player trade with the Miami Dolphins Monday. The Steelers sent three-time All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick back to Miami for three-time First-Team All-Pro cornerback Jaylen Ramsey and 2024 Pro Bowl tight end Jonnu Smith. The Steelers also sent a 2027 fifth-round selection to Miami and received a seventh-round pick in 2027.
The Steelers had traded a first-round pick to Miami for Fitzpatrick back in 2019. In his first five seasons with the Steelers, the 28-year old Fitzpatrick had 19 interceptions and three defensive touchdowns. But, in the last two seasons, he has had one interception. The 31-year old Ramsey had one interception for the Dolphins last year.
Jonnu Smith played for offensive coordinator Arthur Smith in both Atlanta and Tennessee. He had 88 receptions and eight touchdowns last season when he made the Pro Bowl in Miami.
