The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed to players who have played at local colleges. Pitt defensive end Dewayne Hendrix and Duquesne linebacker Christian Kuntz have agreed to one-year deals.
Hendrix had 4-1/2 sacks in his senior season at Pitt in 2018. He spent time as an NFL rookie last year with Miami, Jacksonville and Chicago. Hendrix went on to play for the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL, registering one sack
Kuntz began his collegiate career at Penn State before transferring to Duquesne. The Chartiers Valley grad spent time in the Steelers training camp last year.
