The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Denver Broncos 13-6 Sunday in Denver. The Steelers scored their only touchdown of the season in the first quarter when Justin Fields hit tight end Darnell Washington for five yard score. Chris Boswell kicked a 22-yard field goal to end the first half, then connected on a 53-yard field goal in the third quarter. The Steelers offense managed 189 yards and 13 first downs in the opening half, but had just 62 yards the rest of the game.
The Steelers had 10 penalties in the Denver game, and offensive lineman Broderick Jones was benched after committing three penalties over six plays.
The 2-0 Steelers host the Los Angeles Chargers in their home opener this Sunday at 1pm.
The Chargers are also 2-0 after a 26-3 win over Carolina yesterday.
In the AFC North:
–Cleveland defeated Jacksonville 18-13.
–Las Vegas defeated Baltimore 26-23.
–Kansas City edged Cincinnati 26-25 with a walk-off field goal.
