Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced Tuesday that the team will start rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett for their game in Buffalo Sunday. Pickett entered last week’s game against the New York Jets in the second half, and turned a 10-6 deficit into a 20-10 lead for the Steelers. They would go on to lose 24-20. The Steelers are 14-point underdogs in this week’s game.
The Slippery Rock football team dropped 12 spots in the national Division II poll this week following their 20-12 loss to rival IUP last week. The Rock will host Mercyhurst for their annual Hall of Fame game this Saturday at 6pm.
