The Pittsburgh Steelers traded another offensive lineman and cut several veteran players as they reduced their roster to the mandatory 53-player limit Tuesday afternoon. The Steelers sent Kendrick Green to the Houston Texans for a sixth-round draft pick. Green was a third-round selection in 2021, who started 15 games as a rookie at center. He was moved to guard last season, but never played a game. Also cut were tight end Zach Gentry, a fifth-round draft choice in 2019, and defensive back Tre Norwood. The Steelers have also kept two punters.
