A handful of residents in northern Butler County were still without power as of Wednesday morning after strong storms rolled through the area Tuesday afternoon.
Several calls came into the Butler County 911 Center about trees on wires and wires on the ground in Fairview and Mercer Township just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
At the height of outages, a total of nearly 2,800 West Penn Power customers were without power as of 2 p.m. with most of those in Harrisville Borough and Washington Township.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch from the National Weather Service remained in effect until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
