Rain arrived in heavy doses late Thursday afternoon in Butler County.
With strong winds and significant precipitation, many areas saw a quick burst of rain. That included the City’s West End, where the storm caused a pole to catch on fire.
Wires were knocked down onto Pillow Street. According to First Energy 31 county residents are currently without power, although that number appears to not factor in the West End outages.
Rain is expected to remain in the area until about 8 p.m.
