Some Butler County residents are still dealing with power outages after last night’s strong storms.
The severe weather rolled into the area last evening, producing strong winds and heavy rain at times.
Starting just before 5 p.m., calls came into the Butler County 911 Center for downed trees and wires. Throughout the evening, the emergency center handled nearly 100 weather-related calls.
In Cranberry Township, officials said there were a number of trees down across area roadways.
At one point, more than 1,500 First Energy customers in the county were without power—many in the Cranberry Township area. As of 6 a.m., that number had fallen to 150.
