Students at Dassa McKinney Elementary School have been taken to Moniteau High School after being notified of a power outage this morning.
Moniteau School District has sent a letter out to parents saying that Dassa McKinney is without water and has sporadic heat in the building after being informed this morning by West Penn Power about work being completed today.
Due to this all the students have been taken to the high school for the rest of the day. Students can be picked up early but if not they will be dismissed at their regular dismissal time.
The district apologized for the inconvenience and says the are “working with West Penn Power to correct their notification process.”
