Karns City School District is moving forward with the demolition of the former Sugarcreek Elementary School.
The board accepted a bid of $243,000 to raze the vacant elementary school.
Superintendent Dr. Eric Ritzert said he expects the project to move forward in the near future and be completed by summer.
The property on Route 268 will then be restored to a grass field and be utilized for sports and other district activities.
