Applications are still being accepted for a summer food program providing meals for children.
The SUN Bucks Summer Food Program provides federal funds to families whose children are missing school meals during the summer. For each child that is eligible families will receive a maximum of $40 per month for each of the three summer months similar to a SNAP benefit.
The application will be open until August 31st but families that already have SNAP benefits, are on Medicaid, or if their children were eligible for free or reduced priced lunches are already eligible.
More information can be found online through the PA Department of Human Services website or at the local County Assistance Office.
