In a game heard on 97.7 The Rock Station, #5-ranked Slippery Rock was victorious 56-18 up north in a game against Edinboro yesterday, closing out their regular season 10-0. The Rock will represent the Western Division in the PSAC Championship next Saturday at Kutztown. SRU has won their last nine games by more than 20 points each.
Penn State was also victorious over Maryland 51-15 yesterday. That puts Penn State’s record at 8-1 as they look forward to facing Michigan, the #3 team in the country, this coming weekend.
The Panthers were defeated by Florida State yesterday 24-7. Pitt will now miss a bowl game for just the second time in coach Narduzzi’s 9-year tenure. They head to NYC to face Syracuse this coming Saturday.
The Pittsburgh Penguins were victorious 10-2 over the San Jose Sharks yesterday, kicking off a three-game road trip on the west coast. Reilly Smith and Jake Guentzel both scored two goals and had two assists, with Evgeni Malkin also scoring twice. The Penguins next face off against the Anaheim Ducks this coming Tuesday.
The Nascar Cup Series championship race will be run today at Phoenix Raceway. Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, & William Byron are the championship four. Hear the race on WBUT beginning at 2pm today.
