The Pittsburgh Pirates were defeated by the Phillies 5-2 last night. The Pirates did not advance a runner to second base until Bryan Reynolds hit a 2-run home run in the 9th inning. The Pirates are 3-12 in May and 15-31 overall.
The Pirates and Phillies play again this afternoon at 1:35. WISR pre-game kicks off at 12:35.
The Pirates return home tomorrow to host the Cincinnati Reds.
The annual Nascar All-Star Race will be run tonight. Hear coverage from North Wilkesboro Speedway beginning at 5pm on WBUT.
The longest race of the season is coming up Memorial Day weekend – with the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte. WBUT will carry that race – and the Indy 500 beginning at noon Sunday, May 25th.
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds were defeated by Colorado 1-0 last night. They next play Rhode Island this coming Saturday.
