High School Sports Scores from Monday:
PIAA Golf Championships:
–Lihini Ranaweera of Seneca Valley is in second place in the Class 3A girls tournament after an opening round even-par 72 at the Penn State Blue Course Monday. She is five strokes behind the leader.
–Butler golfer Hunter Swidzinski shot a 1-over 73 in the Class 3A boys first round and is seven strokes off the pace.
Girls Soccer:
–Mars-7 Obama Academy-0. The Fightin’ Planets had seven different goal-scorers as they improved to 14-0 overall and finished 12-0 in Class 3A Section 1.
–North Allegheny defeated Seneca Valley 1-0 complete their section play unbeaten, improving to 17-0 this season The Tigers finished 14-0 in Class 4A Section 1. They will likely be the top overall playoff seed when the WPIAL brackets are released Wednesday. Seneca Valley fell to 11-2-1 in section play and 13-2-1 overall.

–Deer Lakes-2 Knoch-1.
–North Catholic-4 Beaver-0.
Boys Soccer:
–Karns City-2 West Shamokin-1.
Hockey:
–Butler-9 Greensburg Salem-2. Jaxson Salata had a hat trick to lead the Golden Tornado.
