A ten-year-old boy died earlier this weekend in a waterway that flows through Butler County.
According to our news partners at WPXI, 10-year-old Isiah Helenkamp of Tarentum was walking along Bull Creek in Tarentum with several other children on Saturday when he fell into the waterway and was swept away.
Authorities say that while the water is shallow in some areas, but was about 12 feet deep where Helenkamp fell in. Family members say that the boy was not a strong swimmer.
Officials are ruling his death as accidental.
