Governor Wolf is reopening golf courses across the state this Friday. So what will golfers see when they hit the links?
Lake Arthur Golf Club General Manager Scotty Vice explains.
“On the course, there will be one person per cart. The carts will be sprayed and wiped down after each round,” Vice said. “There will be no rakes in the bunkers. Pins will be in, but the cups will be lifted where the ball does not go down, it literally sits just inside.”
Vice says golfers will need to patient with the cart situation at courses in the area, and that they need to follow social distancing and CDC guidelines.
“The best thing that people can do, honestly, to not ruin this situation, is come, check-in, and get out,” Vice said. “That’s what they’re asking people to do, so as long as that happens we should be good.”
Vice also said tee times will be more scattered at Lake Arthur and is asking people to call ahead.
