A man at the Western Secure Treatment Unit is in the Butler County Prison after allegedly attacking a counselor at the facility.
Police were called to the Clarion Hospital Emergency Room on Tuesday to speak with the victim of the alleged assault.
The victim claims that they saw several juveniles head towards a bedroom all at once. In fear they were planning on attempting to assault another juvenile, the victim kicked them out of the bedroom.
Police say that’s when 18-year-old Derrick Robinson allegedly attacked the staff member.
The victim was then allegedly hit six to seven times and was stomped on the back of their head two to three times by Robinson.
He was charged with assault by prisoner and two counts of aggravated assault. Robinson was placed in the prison on $150,000 cash bail as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
