A local teenager was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital on Wednesday after an ATV accident.
State Police say that 19-year-old Matthew Thompson, of Karns City, was riding the all terrain vehicle on Slater Road in Allegheny Township, Butler County. Officials say he was driving too fast for conditions and lost control.
The ATV rolled onto its side and Thompson was thrown off. He was transported by Emlenton Ambulance Service to a landing area when Thompson was then flown to UPMC Presbyterian by STAT Medivac.
That accident happened just before 10:30pm on Wednesday. (8/12) No word on his condition today.
