A teenager was hurt Wednesday in a fall at McConnells Mill State Park.
Lawrence County requested help from Portersville Fire Department and EMS shortly after 3 p.m. to the area of the bridge near the gristmill.
An 18-year-old reportedly fell about 20 feet off a waterfall onto some rocks. The teenager was reportedly breathing with no serious bleeding at the time of call.
The extent of the teenager’s injuries is unknown at this time. Numerous accidents at the park have resulted in injuries and death due to natural hazards like smooth, damp rocks and the steep terrain of the Slippery Rock Creek Gorge.
