Two teenagers are being celebrated for saving the life of a man from a burning vehicle.
Our news partners at WPXI report that a vehicle caught on fire on I-79 by the Route 422 exit in Muddy Creek Township last Friday.
19-year-old Mike Crist and his step-brother 18-year-old Austin Travis were driving with their mother when they saw a car catch on fire.
The two teens then raced to the car to find it filling with smoke, with flames inside.
The man’s legs had caught on fire, but that’s when Crist pulled him out of the vehicle.
The car then became completely engulfed by flames within a minute.
The man suffered serious burns to his legs, but was alert and conscious when EMS crews arrived.
