High temperatures and strong storms are expected in the coming days but humidity could make it feel hotter.
Jared Rackley, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service, offers more details into the hot stretch of weather.
“High temperatures in the 90s on Thursday and Friday, but with the humidity we’re looking at heat index numbers anywhere between 95 to creeping up to 100 in some urban areas,” Rackley said.
Officials urge limiting time outdoors and staying hydrated when temperatures reach above 90 degrees.
There could also be heavy rain and storms at times throughout the weekend. Some models have Butler County receiving close to two inches of rain during that time.
