Volunteers are scheduled to gather in Cranberry to prepare 500 holiday meals for families in need later today.
The 3rd annual “Semper Giving” hosted by Semper Gratus has teamed up with Walmart to provide Thanksgiving meals to pediatric patients suffering from cancers, diseases, and disabilities.
Walmart has provided $10,000 to support the giving of boxes of food. Each box will feed a family of four and will include nonperishable foods.
In the last two years the Semper giving has fed 650 families and 2600 people.
It will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight at the UPMC Mario Lemieux Sports Complex.
