The Butler Area School District will pay an outside contractor to handle mowing around their eight elementary school facilities.
At their meeting Monday night, the board approved a quote received from L and D Lawn Service in Sarver in the amount of nearly $2,400 each week.
According to Superintendent Dr. Brian White, outsourcing this work provides a quality and cost advantage for the district. It also allows the district’s existing grounds employees to focus attention on getting caught up on other projects.
This was one of three quotes received by the district for this service.
