Sarah Thomas will become the first female to officiate the Super Bowl in NFL history. Thomas is a down judge, who was named Tuesday by the NFL as part of this season’s Super Bowl officiating crew. She is in her sixth season in the NFL. Referee will be Carl Cheffers, who is in his 21st season in the league. He worked the 2017 Super Bowl.
The NFL championship games are this Sunday. Green bay (14-3) will host Tampa Bay (13-5) at 3:05pm in the NFC Championship game. At 6:40pm – the 15-2 Kansas City Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills, who are 15-3 in the AFC title game.
