After a thrilling 49-45 victory last Saturday over Gannon, the Slippery Rock University football team has moved up to number-18 overall in the latest American Football Coaches Association poll. The Rock will host number-five ranked California this Saturday night at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Kick-off is 6pm. Rock quarterback Tanner Garry was named PSAC-West co-offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 518 yards and five touchdowns against Gannon. The total was second-most in Rock history.
IUP has jumped over Cal to number-four in the nation.
