There were 116 new cases of COVID-19 and six additional deaths reported by the state for Butler County on Thursday.
That now brings the death toll in the county to 271 since the beginning of the pandemic ten months ago.
As of Wednesday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 36 patients for the coronavirus. Nine COVID-19 patients are being cared for in the hospital’s ICU.
Statewide there were just over 7,000 new cases and 313 additional deaths, along with nearly 12,000 negative test results. Over 5,000 patients are hospitalized statewide with over 1,000 in the ICU.
