One new death and seven new cases of COVID-19 were reported today for Butler County.
According to the state Department of Health, that now marks 15 total deaths in Butler County due to COVID-19. The case count currently sits at 593 since mid-March.
There were also 267 negative tests—keeping the positivity rate around three percent.
As of Wednesday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating five patients for the coronavirus, with two in the ICU.
Statewide, there were 860 new COVID-19 cases, around 15,000 negative tests, and an additional 14 deaths were announced. That brings the death toll to 7,176.
