Over $70,000 in grants were awarded earlier this week at the annual Toast to Tourism event.
It happened Wednesday night at the Penn Theater, where advocates of the tourism industry in the county gathered to celebrate the past year.
Nadine Shingleton of Playthings Etc. was honored as the Butler County Tourism Ambassador of the Year.
35 different entities also took home grant funding to help with projects that will benefit the county’s tourism industry.
Experience Butler County also highlighted some of the marquee programs and initiatives, including the America 250 Concert and restoration of the Roebling Bridge in Saxonburg.
