Considered the greatest quarterback of all-time, Tom Brady has announced his retirement from the game of football. The 45-year old spent 23 seasons in the NFL and won seven Super Bowls. He was a five-time NFL Super Bowl MVP. Brady is the first player to win an NFL championship in three different decade. Although he is stepping away from the field as a player, he is expected to step into a broadcast role.
Although Brady may not have left the game in a year that he captured one more Super Bowl, he certainly had not slowed down as a player. He finished third overall this season in the league with 4,694 yards passing. That number was behind only Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers. He threw 26 touchdowns in the regular season and just nine interceptions.
Remarkably, who threw 66 passes in his final game, which was a loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs.
