Construction of a new Cranberry Township school building is one step closer to completion following a ceremony Tuesday afternoon.
A safe and social-distanced “Topping Out” ceremony at the new Ehrman Crest Elementary/Middle School was held to place the final steel beam atop the structure.
Those in attendance signed the white beam before it was lifted into place. This modern facility will feature separate elementary and middle school wings, along with a community wing that will house the gymnasium, Creativity, Innovation and Research (CIRC) space, music and movement rooms, as well as an open cafeteria.
The new K-6 school building is well underway and currently on schedule to open in time for the 2022-23 school year.
