The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-3 last night to win the American League Championship Series 4-games-to-3. Seattle led the game 3-1 before Blue Jays designated hitter George Springer hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to send his team to their first World Series since 1993.
Toronto will host the Los Angeles Dodgers for Game 1 of the World Series beginning Friday night.
